Jan’s Christmas Nut Roll

Ingredients 

• 2 pkg yeast
• 2 Tablespoons sugar
• 1 cup warm water
• Dissolve yeast and sugar in water and set aside.
• 4 cups flour- sifted 
• 1 tsp salt
• Cut in 2 sticks of butter and mix in 2 egg yolks.

Instructions

1.  Add yeast mixture and mix.
2. Turn onto floured board and knead five minutes.
3. Divide dough in half.
4. Make filling: 1 stick melted butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar,
5. 2 cups chopped walnuts 
6. Roll out each piece of dough and spread with filling.
7. Roll up and place on baking sheet.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
