Interlibrary Loan (MeL)

MeLCat is a statewide catalog of items held in participating libraries. These items include books, CDs, DVDs, scores, manuscripts, and other types of materials. Brandon Township Public Library cardholders can borrow materials held by other libraries that are also members of MeLCat. If you need help searching MeLCat, please visit the help page, or ask an adult or youth services librarian. A one-time renewal of ILL materials may be granted at the discretion of the lending library.  Please note DVDs cannot be renewed and audio-books are at the discretion of the lending library.

If we do not have something you want and you are a Brandon Township Public Library cardholder, you can initiate an ILL request. You will need to know your library card number. Most libraries will not lend new items, entire periodicals, fragile materials or reference books. Once the hold is placed you will be notified when the item arrives at the library and is ready to be picked up.

Non-Residents who have not paid for full library privileges at Brandon Library are required by MeL to use their home library for pick-up.

MeL items must be renewed at by logging into MyMeLCat with your name and library card number.  Please call us at 248-627-1460 if you need further help.
