Curbside Service Hours

Monday – Tuesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
Wednesday-Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 4:00pm


A few things to know before you start:

  • Be sure you have a confirmation from the Library that your order is ready before you schedule a pickup time.
  • The library building is open to the public at 25% occupancy.

 

1. Patrons can request material for pick-up one of the following ways:

     Patrons will need a valid Brandon Township library card

2. Wait for confirmation

When the materials you have requested are ready for pick-up, you will receive notification by email or telephone.  Your items will be placed in a staging area until you schedule a date and time to pick items up.

Pick up times will be in one-hour increments and patrons can schedule a date and time to pick-up their holds one of the following ways:

Arrive during your designated hour, your holds will be located on the table outside the library with your last name on the bag.

Q: Are you open?

Yes, we are open to 25% capacity and we’re still offering curbside service.

Q: What hours will Curbside Pick-Up be available?

Q: Can I return my books when I go to pick up my materials?

 Please return your materials in the outside or inside book drops. For staff and patron safety, staff will not be able to take returns at the circulation desk.

Q: Can I request items through interlibrary loan (MeL)? 

Yes! Michigan eLibrary (MeL) is accepting requests for interlibrary loans!

Q: How do I renew my existing library card?

You can renew an existing library card online or by calling, texting, or emailing us.

Q: How do I request a new library card?

Patrons may request a new library card by using the new card form on our website, calling, texting, or emailing us.  We will email your card number and PIN once you are in the system.  You will need to come into the library to verify your information and pick up your physical library card.

Q: Will my items be subject to standard loan periods and overdue fines?

All items checked out after June 12 are subject to regular loan periods.
There are NO OVERDUE FINES for checked out materials; Brandon Library is fine free.
Replacement charges for lost and damaged items still apply.

Q: I returned my items already but they are still on my account, why?

Due to the 72-120 hours of quarantine for materials and a high volume of returns, please wait a minimum of 10 days before contacting the Library about materials.
There are NO OVERDUE FINES for checked out materials; Brandon Library is fine free.
Replacement charges for lost and damaged items still apply.

Q: I think I lost a bunch of stuff, can I pay for lost materials online?

No, but you can call us at 248-627-1460 to pay for lost materials over the phone using a credit card.

Q: Is the FOL bookstore open to purchase books?

No, unfortunately, the bookstore is not open because we can’t safely distance patrons by 6 feet in the current space.

Q: Can I make a room reservation?

No, unfortunately, patrons cannot book rooms yet.

Q: Is Wi-Fi still available?

Yes, we have Wi-Fi access inside the building, however, it is limited in the parking lot.

Q: When will full Library operations resume?

We will phase in additional services over time in the interest of public health. No specific date has been determined at this time.
